About Me: Álvaro leads GlobeScan’s office in Brazil. A journalist by training, Álvaro is a strategic advisor around reputation management, stakeholder engagement, purpose and sustainability. He has led projects across a range of sectors including financial services, mining, agribusiness, pulp and paper, food and beverages, personal care, automotive, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, apparel and information technology. He currently works with Natura, Banco Itau, Fibria and Anglo American.

Álvaro is the organizer and curator of the Sustainable Brands conference in Brazil and serves as a board member and advisor for various private and civil society organizations. Álvaro is based in Sao Paulo and is fluent in Portuguese and English and proficient in Spanish.
